George IV with his Wife and children, visiting the Josten’s paint manufacturing building in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Picture taken in 2000.

George M. Josten Inc. has over five generations of history rich in fine finishes, paint and varnish manufacturing, and quality paint jobs. After serving in the Army during WWII and Korea, George Josten III graduated from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Once back home in Wauwatosa Wisconsin, George III took what he learned from the institute and began specializing in church painting and decorating, thus founding Church Interiors by Josten. With an eye for design and a thorough knowledge of art history, he traveled all over Wisconsin and its neighboring states, painting churches and cathedrals alike. At the peak of his growth (and stress) George III found himself employing a total of 90 painters! He moved his wife and children out west to Puyallup Washington in 1979 to pursue a simpler life. Two of his sons, George IV and Peter, then helped establish a new business in residential painting. George IV and Peter inherited their father’s keen eye for design and continue to provide high quality interior and exterior painting. Their sister, Ann Josten, works alongside the brothers.
